2. Provision of the website

Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure is used for the technical delivery and security of this website. Cloudflare processes connection and security data required for these purposes. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, page requested, transferred data volume, browser type, operating system and referrer. Processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cloudflare states that cookie data may by default also be processed in data centres in the United States. For relevant transfers, Cloudflare refers to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where required, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. 3. Contacting us

If you contact us by phone, email or through the contact form, we process your information to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns steps prior to or performance of a contract; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

When the contact form is submitted, your name, email address, message and, where provided, company and phone number are transmitted server-side through Brevo as the technical transactional email service to the recipient address designated by OR. The website does not operate a separate contact database or permanently store the message content. Only if server-side delivery is not configured or the contact API cannot be reached from the browser may the locally configured email application open with a prepared message as a fallback. Information is then transmitted only after you send that message yourself.

4. Applications

When you apply through the Jobs section, we process your contact details, information about your qualifications and professional interests, and any documents you provide voluntarily in order to conduct the application process. The legal basis is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. No solely automated assessment or pre-selection takes place.

Brevo is used as the technical transactional email service for the server-side transmission of online applications. The form information and any attachments uploaded voluntarily are transmitted to the recipient address designated by OR. An application does not result in subscription to newsletter or marketing lists, and application information is not used for marketing purposes.

The website does not operate an additional applicant database. Voluntary attachments are processed only during transmission and are not stored permanently by the website in an upload store. Application data is deleted when it is no longer required for the application process and no statutory obligation prevents deletion.

If you voluntarily consent to being considered for suitable future positions, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw that consent at any time with future effect. You can apply without giving this consent.

5. External links and maps

Google Maps and other external services are not embedded automatically. Only when you select an external link do you leave our website; from that point the respective provider’s privacy policy applies.

6. Cookies and audience measurement

This website does not use its own marketing, analytics or tracking cookies. As part of its bot and security functions, Cloudflare sets the technically necessary cookie __cf_bm. It supports the detection and mitigation of automated traffic. According to Cloudflare, the cookie expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity, is generated separately for each website and is not used to track users across websites or sessions.

7. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to handle the matter concerned or to comply with statutory retention obligations. Technical log data is deleted in accordance with the hosting provider’s policies.

8. Your rights

Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also withdraw consent at any time with future effect.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In particular, the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is competent.
